What blnc is
blnc is a personal finance app that runs on your device. It helps you understand your spending, balances, and financial patterns. The core privacy promise: your financial data never leaves your device for processing by us.
Your financial data stays on your device
Transaction history, account balances, categorisation, and any analysis or insights are computed entirely on your phone or tablet. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or processes your transaction data, balances, or financial analysis.
If you delete the app or clear its data, that information is gone from your device. We have no copy to restore.
How bank data reaches your device
To connect your bank accounts, blnc uses Enable Banking, a licensed open banking provider. When you authorise access, bank data is sent over an encrypted connection directly to your device. We use Enable Banking solely to deliver that data to you — not to collect it on our servers.
Enable Banking has its own privacy practices. Their handling of data during the connection process is governed by their policies and applicable open banking regulations.
Our signing service
We run a minimal authentication service that signs API requests so the app can communicate with Enable Banking. This service:
- Authenticates requests from the app
- Does not receive, store, or process your transaction data, balances, or analysis
- Does not see the contents of your financial information
What we do not do
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing
- No cloud backup of your financial records by us
Data on this website
This site (prfl.app) hosts only this privacy policy, terms of service, and a redirect page used during bank authorisation. The redirect page passes an authorisation code back to the app on your device and does not send that code to our servers.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Given our architecture, the financial data itself is on your device and under your control.
